Reuinion

So, we had a Young Women Reunion on Saturday night, where the 'girls' and some of our prior leaders from Young Women and/or parents got together to see where we all are now in our lives. It was fun to see us all together in one place. Here's a pic of who all came that night:

Back Row: Michelle Autry Welsh, Jenni Popp Edwards, me, Katie Parks, Ruth Parks Bishop, Beth Shipp, Melanie Autry (soon to be Whiteley), Kara Fuller, Gina Fuller.

Front Row: Holly Barch, Jenny Autry Wehrmeister, Cindy Noble, Julie Echols, Deborah Parks (Holding Jonathon Michelle's Baby), Ronnie Autry (holding Delaney Wehrmeister).

This wasn't all of us but it was good to have some snacks and hang out, even for a short time. :)

Storm

Well, if the storm last night had to keep waking me up with lightning and thunder from 3 a.m. and on at least I got to see a pretty rainbow on my way into work.

Yes, I was on a hill and I did take the picture when stopped at a stop sign. It was actualy a full rainbow, but since there was a car waiting behind me I couldn't really reshoot for a better shot. :)
The sky was a weird hazy, sun rising, rain cloud filled color. Here's some interesting clouds from driving down Manchester to try and show this color:

Yes, this shot was taken while I was driving. My bad. :)
K, me tired now. Can't wait for lunch when I can nap...hopefully. So long as my new iphone and it's games don't distract me...yet again. Hehe.
Oh yeah, I got an iPhone last weekend! Love it! Really distracting...and getting all those contacts set up how I want...sigh tons to do. So if I randomly email or call you for your address and birthday info...it's all out of love...and wanting all the info for my phone. :) This is my first phone where I actually need a data plan, so it's nice to be able to combine all info I have for a person into one central location. Let's just hope I can keep it all straight.
Well, I hope you all are more rested today than I feel. Enjoy!

Dog Sitting

So my bro and his fam headed to Disney World for the week, and I am dog and house sitting. It's kinda weird. You never realize how stuck in habit you are until it totally changes. Funny thing I never realized...you can get used to petting a certain type of dog. :)
See, I am used to petting these two:
Riley on the left and Cody on the right
And I am petting this one for the week:
Lily in her Christmas outfit this last Christmas

So you can see...I'm used to petting dogs and doing long hand strokes and getting a tired arm. With Lily I barely move my hand and I've covered the whole puppy. hehe.

Wonder if it'll be hard to go back to petting big doggies again. :)

Yes, the white flowers are silk flowers. :) hehe.

Michael Buble Concert!

Ellen and I headed to the Michael Buble concert on 6-25-10 and it was a blast!

The opening act is a group called Naturally 7, they do acapella/vocal play music. They call it vocal play as there are some members that 'play instruments' with their voices. They are totally awesome! Didn't get any video of them but did get some pics. :)

Michael Buble I swear is a bit like an energizer bunny...he just keeps dancing and moving around while performing, it is so entertaining. :) His rules for concerts are he wants it to be a party! If you want to sing, sing along as loud as you can. If you want to get up and dance, get up and dance. And if you are standing up in front of people and they are complaining to you to sit down, turn around and tell them to "**** off!" After that the crowd burst out in applause. It was hilarious.

In the middle he was telling how since he was 11 he's known he wanted to be a singer. And you would think Frank Sinatra and such would have been his idols. But actually he idolized Michael Jackson:

And the thing that made him want to perform was watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off:

He then went to a stage in the back of the floor and performed there for a couple of songs. He apologized to the people who paid good money for the front row, but all these other people paid good money too. Hehe. :)

At the end of the night Ellen and I went and got Naturally 7's autographs and their cd. My voice was exhausted and but was an awesome night. Hope you enjoy glimpes into the show. Here was my favorite performance/song...and it was in the encore:
