Cruise Day One

So this last Sunday my friend Dominique and I headed down to Orlando, Florida to start our cruise to the Bahamas! Yay fun! Here are some pics and videos of our first day from our first cruise:
Here is a pic of our cabin, my bed straight ahead, D's on the right

Our bathroom
Here is the rear 'tail' of the ship, we were on the Carnival Sensation

Here's a video of our security/emergency training during take off from the port:

Bye, bye Florida and Hello International Waters!

Here's a pic of all the sea gulls disrupted by our leaving port :) There were tons of them

Here's a video of the inside central section of the cruise ship:

The motion of the ship at first wasn't so bad, but the farther we got from land, the choppier the water got. My center of balance totally disappeared, and all of a sudden I would tip over. Even sitting down I would feel dizzy. It wasn't until the next day where I finally found my footing and no longer felt disoriented while the ship was sailing along. :)

When we finally got on the ship we headed up to the Lido deck for lunch, most food was served buffet style and it was pretty crowded for that first meal. After that we headed onto our room and unpacked our stuff. The room was small enough living out of our suitcases, even just for 4 days would have been hard. We took a short nap and then had to go to the security/emergency training to show us where to go should our boat sink. That happened right along the time we were pulling away from port.

The Lido Deck

We then went to the front of the ship to watch us head out of port. :) We walked around the ship a bit to get our bearings and figure out where stuff was then headed to the dining room for dinner. After dinner we caught a dance/singing/comedy act in one of the lounges, went and hit the casino slots for a bit then headed off to bed. We were to get into Freeport by 7 am the next morning. :)

Must Catch Up

Okay, so I have to catch up on my picture sharing as I have to empty my digital camera so it'll be ready for my cruise next week. So, here is a summary of some of the best pics from the past month or so:
My friend Kristin and I went to go and see Christmas Carol in 3-D for our last get together before she left town....pretty much for good :( Ugly glasses, good movie, and I totally miss K.

My niece Samantha had a small dance performance right before Christmas. Here's the program

Here is a video of her dance performance. Sam is the one on the far left....only blonde. :)

Here is a picture of Mom's Christmas cactus, of which she got a start from her mother who passed away last Christmas of 2008. The flowers are so pretty...it's slightly out of focus but i still think it's a pretty good shot. :)

Then came Christmas morning...and this is what I woke up to....Luke really excited. :)

Here's mom opening up her new computer monitor Luke and Leslie got her:

Luke trying on his face 'gator' mask he asked for...perfect for a Halloween Ninja costume....or keeping your nose warm in cold temps. :)

Me showing off the aprons my mom made me for Christmas. The black and pink one I knew about, the two sided one with frogs and balloons was a total surprise. They are so cute! Don't pay attention to anything above the neck...hadn't done makeup or hair yet. :)

Here is Becca and Leslie playing with Lily in her Christmas outfit. :) hehe.

Lily didn't care too much for the hat...so I put it on Becca. :) Not quite sure why Matt is making such a face in the background. :)

Okay, that catches up my pictures. :) I know I've been slow on posting lately, but I'm thinking I won't post again till after I'm back from my cruise....so you'll then have warm pictures to look at. :)

Now, time to get ready for the cruise! YAY!! Can I leave now? jk.

Happy 2010!

Happy New Years!!!
I hope that you all had a wonderful new years celebration, and here's wishing you a wonderful 2010!
Sigh, I behind on uploading pics and family times and who knows when I'll get that done...oh yeah, gotta do it before the cruise. :) 15 more days till I leave....so looking forward to the Bahamas and warm weather. Sounds like a good start to me. :)
I'm not a huge New Year Resolution kind of person. I forget what I goaled for, then I'm too lazy to really work on it, then I forget again. That's me! :) But I hope that if you have goals you are reaching for...you are successful in your experiences and will find happiness with all of your accomplishments.
Bed time....then party day with mom. Hope you all are doing well and enjoying these wonderful holidays!

I've Been Busy

Okay, I know, I know. I haven't updated since Thanksgiving. I suck. Sorry, life has just been so busy lately, and it's not likely to calm down until next year.

But I just couldn't stand the Happy Thanksgiving post any longer. :)

So, even though I don't really have much to say in this one, Happy Holidays and hopefully I'll post more later. :)
