Driveway - Torn Out

So the driveway was torn out yesterday! Fast workers! It wasn't totally finished yet though, as the clean rock wasn't laid out yet. But it should be done today or tomorrow. I know the video is kinda dark...I had the camera light on my phone on, but it still isn't too see-able. :)

So here's a picture that turned out a bit better. :)

It's getting there! Let's just hope it's walkable by Halloween. Otherwise we are messing up the street flow for the trick-or-treaters.

Driveway Before...

So as you can tell, we are going to get our driveway replaced. YAY!!! The contractor says it'll take 2 days, one to tear out and one to pour it. Then no driving on it for a week. Let's see how it comes out.

Did I Tell You....I Finished It!!!!

So, a long time ago, I posted about a cross stitch I was working on. I finally finished it....after working on it on and off for about 7 years (mostly off but wanted to be true to the time limit)!


Mom told me that when I finished it she would pay to have it framed...to celebrate the long time it took to accomplish it. So this last weekend Michaels had a sale of 50% off framing...and we took it to get framed. It'll take 2 weeks for the final product to be done but thought I'd share at least the completed aida cloth of it.


(And actually...I finished it at least 6 month to a year ago...I just never posted on it. :) )

Hair Did - Again :)

Yup, I did my hair again. Time for fall color. hehe. Here are the before and after pics:

Can you see the orange by my scalp on the after picture? Cause she wanted to change it to red with a hint of copper. The copper really came out pretty orange so I had her go back and add on brown low lights to calm it all down. I think it turned out pretty well. :)

Decision - I Think

So talking it over with my friend D, I think we have decided what do to that is fun, different and memorable for my birthday.

New Orleans, Louisiana....here we come!

As I was born in Louisiana I have always wanted to go back as I do not remember that state at all. And even though I was born in Shreveport...which is way north...New Orleans kinda seems to have it's own 'atmosphere'. :)

We've made hotel reservations all ready for a place on Bourbon street I believe, or close to it. We just plan to walk around, do some small shops shopping and just soak up the Southern culture. Plan to drive...so really only one full day there...but we'll still make it fun. :)

And even though the town, and Bourbon street is known mostly for drinking...which I do not do and have NO desire to do...I still think it will be a fun new town to experience and explore.

Anyone been there before? Any recommendations on something that is a must do?

Need Ideas Please!

Okay, so my 30th birthday is coming up. Yes, yes...I am getting old. :)

But, I want to do something different/fun/memorable to celebrate this momentous birthday. What you may ask?

I have no idea.

So that is where I need your help please! What is something you have done...for a birthday or just in life...that was memorable and fun and something you will never forget.

To celebrate my 29th I went on a be-lated cruise with a friend who is only a month younger than me. It was such a blast. Now, I'm not needing something that big...but I do want something memorable.

You know...to commemorate me becoming and old fart. Hehe.

PLEASE!!!!! Comment, text, call me....I need ideas. And I only have 2 weeks to pull it off. So help is greatly appreciated!
